The block check cotton twill fabric is woven in Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture, which neighbors Okayama Prefecture and is historically renowned as the epicenter for all Made in Japan shirting fabrics. Yarn-dyed in a brown hue using a sulphur dye, these will age just like indigo with extended wear. The shirt is loosely based on a classic work shirt, but stripped of some details like the extended collar tab to make it more contemporary in fashion.
