Studio D'Artisan's distressed series of jeans pay homage to the rugged, utilitarian origins of denim as workwear from the 1940s. During this era, jeans had not yet attained their legendary status as a fashion icon, but were essential for laborers due to their durability and resistance to visible dirt and grime.

Inspired by these historical roots, Studio D'Artisan have recreated the coarse, rugged fades characteristic of jeans worn by workers of that period.
