Pure Blue Japan's latest denim venture takes indigo entirely out of the equation, with the brand instead sulphur-dyeing warp yarns in olive for their latest slubby 14oz. denim. Thanks to the vintage shuttle looms that weave this denim, the fabric has a superbly textured face and feel, with the irregularity accentuating the streakiness of the denim. This also allows for various olive hues, which are expected to fade gradually over time due to the sulphur-dyed nature of the fabric.
