Samurai blend flavors for a fresh take on a classic piece of workwear for this season. Woven in Niigata, a region long celebrated for its production of high-quality yarn-dyed textiles, the fabric used in this jacket is a heavyweight plain flannel distinguished by its dense yet soft hand feel. This balance of strength and comfort is achieved through the use of exceptionally thick yarns. The warp is constructed from double-twisted yarns to enhance durability, while the weft utilizes slub yarns to introduce a natural texture and depth to the fabric’s surface. Once woven, the material undergoes a light brushing process, resulting in a refined finish that subtly recalls the texture of wool serge while retaining the breathability and character of pure cotton.
